1955 Tour
The 1955 Tour was the second concert tour by British pop singer-songwriter Mika in support of his second studio album '' The Boy Who Knew Too Much''. The tour spanned across North America, Australia and the Far East. In February 2010 Mika launched another tour, the Imaginarium Tour which started in Belfast, Northern Ireland and took him throughout Europe and back to Asia. Background Mika announced the official name of his tour on 4 October 2009 while in rehearsals for the North American leg. The tour had an outer space theme. The idea behind this tour was that a civilian sent into space became lost after something went terribly wrong with the mission. Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr. (born 18 August 1983), known professionally as Mika ( , stylised as MIKA), is a singer-songwriter born in Beirut, Lebanon, and raised in Paris and London. After recording his first extended play, '' Dodgy Holiday'', Mika was named the number-one predicted breakthrough act of 2007 in an annual BBC poll of music critics, Sound of 2007. The song was produced and mixed by Greg Wells and features the gospel choir of Andraé Crouch. Release The single made its radio airplay debut in the United Kingdom on 20 July 2009, on BBC Radio 2. It was made available for download on 14 August 2009 in Australia and later on 6 September 2009 in the United Kingdom. It was released physically on 7 September 2009 along with the limited edition 7" and 12" gramophone records. Franklin Music Hall is a concert venue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is in a converted building once part of the General Electric Switchgear Plant and opened in 1995. It has a capacity between 2,500 and 3,000 people. It is owned and operated by The Bowery Presents. The venue features a variety of musical acts in the rap, electronic, heavy metal, rock, grunge, and pop genres. History In 1968, the "Electric Factory and Flea Market", a concert venue, opened in a converted tire warehouse on the northwest corner of 22nd and Arch Streets. It was owned by Sheldon Kaplan, Herbert Spivak, and his brothers Jerry Spivak and Allen Spivak. They soon hired Larry Magid to book all of the shows. The United Palace (originally Loew's 175th Street Theatre) is a theater at 4140 Broadway in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. The Orpheum Theatre is a music venue located at 1 Hamilton Place in Boston, Massachusetts. The Sound Academy
Rebel (originally the Docks Nightclub & Concert Theater and then Sound Academy) is a nightclub and concert venue located on the Polson Pier in Toronto, Canada. Relaunched in October 2016 as Rebel Night Club, the complex is on the edge of Lake Ontario, overlooking the Toronto city skyline. The main room has a 65-foot stage with an installation of LED video walls, as well as outdoor grand terraces. The mezzanine hosts the central bar which includes built-in seating. The venue opened as "the Docks Nightclub" in 1996. A major renovation in 2016 split the venue into four rooms: "The Main Room", "Noir", "Savage" and the "Purple Room".
