Svenska Cupen 1948 was the eighth season of the main Swedish football Cup and for the first time was not competed for by Allsvenskan clubs, because of the Summer Olympics in London. The final was between two third division clubs and was held on 25 July 1948 at Olympia, Helsingborg. Råå IF won 6-0 against BK Kenty before an attendance of 9,852 spectators. Råå IF is a Swedish or Scanian football club located in Råå, a fishing village at Öresund, that grew to be one of Scandinavia's largest in the late 1800's, south of Helsingborg. They became the Swedish Cup champions in 1948, and the vice champions of the highest league level 1950-51. Background ''Råå Idrottsförening (RIF)'' is a Swedish or Scanian sports club that was established on 25 March 1921 by a group of high school students in a basement in the city district of Helsingborg, Tågaborg. The club was first called ''Enighet'' (translation: Unity), but in 1925 it was renamed Råå Idrottsförening. Early matches were played at Valhallagatan but in 1928 they moved to Hedens idrottsplats. Landskrona Boll och Idrottsällskap ( en, Landskrona Ball and Sports Society, locally referred to as BoIS) is a Swedish professional football club located in Landskrona, Scania, which currently plays in Superettan, the second league tier of football in Sweden. Idrottsföreningen Friska Viljor is a Swedish ski jumping and Nordic combined club from Örnsköldsvik, Västernorrland County. It formerly offered more sports. A football club named Friska Viljor FC was separated from IF Friska Viljor in February 1994. The alpine skiing section was also separated from IF Friska Viljor. Karlstad BK was a Swedish football club located in Karlstad in Värmland County. They merged with Carlstad United after the 2019 season to form IF Karlstad Fotboll. Background Since their foundation on 19 October 1923 Karlstad BK has participated mainly in the second and third tiers of the Swedish football league system. Sandvikens IF is a Swedish football club located in Sandviken. The club, formed 6 June 1918, has played 21 seasons in the highest Swedish league, but is in the third highest Swedish league, Division 1.
