IF Friska Viljor
Idrottsföreningen Friska Viljor is a Swedish ski jumping and Nordic combined club from Örnsköldsvik, Västernorrland County. It formerly offered more sports. A football club named Friska Viljor FC was separated from IF Friska Viljor in February 1994. The alpine skiing section was also separated from IF Friska Viljor. The brothers Evert and Kåre Karlsson participated together at the 1950 World Ski Championships, and Evert was a 1948 Olympian. Ski Jumping
Ski jumping is a winter sport in which competitors aim to achieve the farthest jump after sliding down on their skis from a specially designed curved ramp. Along with jump length, competitor's aerial style and other factors also affect the final score. Ski jumping was first contested in Norway in the late 19th century, and later spread through Europe and North America in the early 20th century. Along with cross-country skiing, it constitutes the traditional group of Nordic skiing disciplines. The ski jumping venue, commonly referred to as a ''hill'', consists of the jumping ramp (''in-run''), take-off table, and a landing hill. Each jump is evaluated according to the distance traveled and the style performed. The distance score is related to the construction point (also known as the ''K-point''), which is a line drawn in the landing area and serves as a "target" for the competitors to reach. Paradiskullen
Paradiskullen is a ski jumping hill in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, and is also a local landmark as it can be seen from downtown Örnsköldsvik. It consists of a normal hill with a K-point of 90 and a hill size of 100, and nearby there are also a few smaller hills, one medium hill and three small hills, as part of the complex. The hill was originally built in 1961, and renovated in 1991 and 1992, but had to be moved slightly as the Bothnia Line railway line was being built. The normal hill was reconstructed about away from its original site, and the smaller hills farther away. Isak Grimholm (born 25 March 1985) is a Swedish former ski jumper. He made his Continental Cup debut in August 2002 in Marikollen, and his best result is a victory from Iron Mountain in February 2007. He participated in the FIS Junior World Ski Championships in 2002 and 2003. He made his World Cup debut in December 2002 in Trondheim, finishing 46th, and collected his first World Cup points with a 27th place in February 2007 in Planica. Carl Nordin (born 23 December 1989 in Örnsköldsvik) is a Swedish ski jumper. He made his Continental Cup debut in December 2004 in Rovaniemi, and his best results are two 24th places from Hinterzarten and Iron Mountain in February 2008. The FIS Ski Jumping World Cup is the world's highest level of ski jumping and the FIS Ski Flying World Cup as the subdivisional part of the competition. It was founded by Torbjørn Yggeseth for the 1979/80 season and organized by the International Ski Federation. Women began competing during the 2011/12 season. The rounds are hosted primarily in Europe, with regular stops in Japan and rarely in North America. Johan Rasmussen (born 18 July 1970) is a Swedish former ski jumper. He competed in the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup from 1990 to 1996, with twelfth place being his best career finish. He also competed in three World Championships and the 1994 Olympics. He was born in Borås, and represented the club IF Friska Viljor in Örnsköldsvik. He made his World Cup debut in March 1990 with a 71st place in Örnsköldsvik, and made three starts in 1991. He also participated in the 1991 World Ski Championships. He made ten starts in the 1991–1992 World Cup, collecting his first World Cup points with a 21st place in March 1992 in Trondheim.
