Viivi Luik
Viivi Luik (born 6 November 1946, in Tänassilma, Estonia) is an Estonian writer and poet. Life From 1965 to 1967, Luik studied at the Tallinn extramural secondary school, working at the same time as a librarian. In 1970, Luik joined the Estonian Writers' Union. In 1974, Luik married Jaak Jõerüüt, another Estonian writer and later diplomat. As the wife of a diplomat, she has spent several years abroad: in Helsinki (1993–1997), Berlin (1996) and Rome (1998–2003). Works Luik's first poem appeared in the local daily in 1962, and in 1964 she debuted in the prominent literary magazine Looming. Priit Pärn
Priit Pärn (born 26 August 1946 in Tallinn) is an Estonian cartoonist and animation director whose films have enjoyed success among critics as well as the public at various film festivals. Pärn formerly worked as a plant ecologist; his career in animation began when he accepted Rein Raamat's proposal to make a design for ''Kilplased'' (1974). After a brief apprenticeship in Joonisfilm, he directed his first film ''Is the Earth Round?'' in 1977. Pärn's most important films are considered to be ''Triangle'' (1982), ''Breakfast on the Grass'' (1987), ''Hotel E'' (1992), ''1895'' (co-directed by Janno Põldma, 1995) and ''Night of the Carrots'' (1998). Pärn's style is characterized by black humour, playful surrealism and a unique graphic style. His somewhat crude style marked the departure from both Rein Raamat's overtly serious and moralizing films as well as the Disneyesque style propagated by the directors of Soyuzmultfilm. Ago Roo (born 11 May 1946) is an Estonian stage, television, voice, and film actor who began his career in theatre in 1968. Roo has been employed at several notable theatres in Estonian during his career and has appeared in film and television. He has been a member of the Estonian Theatre Association since 1969 and the Estonian Actors' Union since 1993. Early life and education Ago Roo was born in the small village of Visusti in Järva County. His father was a forestry technician and his mother mother was an accountant. He attended schools in Elva, graduating from secondary school in 1964. Afterward, he enrolled in the theatre department of the Tallinn State Conservatory (now, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre) to study acting, under stage direction of actor and theatre pedagogue Voldemar Panso, graduating in 1968.
