Christian Bjelland I
Christian Bjelland (30 May 1858 – 9 May 1927) was the founder of Chr. Bjelland & Co A/S, Norway's largest canned goods producer and amongst the largest in Scandinavia. He became one of the great industrialists of his time and in 1908 was made a Knight, 1st Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav for his contribution to building the Norwegian canning industry. Background Christian Bjelland was born on the farm Åreskjold at Høyland in Rogaland, Norway. His parents were farmers who raised a family of six. In 1868, the family moved to Stavanger where Bjelland attended school in the neighborhood of Bjergsted. His formal education ended after fifth grade. Chr. Torolf Prytz
Torolf Prytz (26 December 1858 – 16 June 1938) was a Norwegian architect, goldsmith and politician for the Liberal Party. He led the goldsmith company ''J. Tostrup'' of Oslo from 1890 to 1938, having inherited it from his grandfather-in-law Jacob Tostrup. He also served as Norwegian Minister of Industrial Provisioning from 1917 to 1918 and President of the Norwegian Red Cross from 1922 to 1930. Background He was born in Alstahaug in Nordland, Norway. He was the son of bailiff Eiler Hagerup Krog Prytz, Sr. (1812–1900) and his wife Anne Margrethe Thomessen (1820–1900). The family moved to Christiania (now Oslo) when he was 12 years old. Christian Bendz Kielland (29 October 1858 – 29 May 1934) was a Norwegian civil servant. Personal life He was born in Horten to Jacob Kielland and his wife Thora Margrethe (1827–1902), née Bendz. His grandfather was Jacob Kielland, his uncle Jens Zetlitz Kielland and his cousins Kitty Lange and Alexander Kielland. Jonas Schancke Kielland had three older brothers, one older sister and one younger brother. One of the older brothers, also named Christian Bendz Kielland, lived only from 1851 to 1855. His brother Axel Christian Zetlitz Kielland became a diplomat, and the younger brother Jonas Schanche Kielland became a politician. Christian Bendz Kielland married Cäcilie Wilhelmine Catharine Kopp (1868-1925), a pianist from Kristiania, in 1893. The couple had one son and two daughters. Nordal Wille
Johan Nordal Fischer Wille (28 October 1858 – 4 February 1924) was a Norwegian botanist. He was a professor at the Royal Frederick University from 1893 to his death, founded the laboratory at the University Botanical Garden and co-founded the Natural History Museum. Personal life Wille was born in Hobøl as the son of physician Hans Georg Wille (1803–1879) and his wife Ingeborg Fischer (1811–1875). He was a grandnephew of priest and writer Hans Jacob Wille. He married three times. The first marriage with Anne Koller, a daughter of Carl Theodor Fredrik Koller, lasted from September 1891 to her death in March 1908. During this period he was a brother-in-law of Rasmus Meyer and Gustav Guldberg, who were married to two of Anne's sisters. The second marriage with Ragna Margrethe Knudsen lasted from September 1911 to her death in July 1917, and finally he married Swedish-born school teacher Ester Victoria Svensson in October 1918. Christian Meidell Kahrs (24 September 1858 – 12 July 1924) was a Norwegian businessperson and politician for the Liberal Party and later the Coalition Party. He was born in Bergen. He graduated from Bergen Cathedral School in 1877, and took the cand.jur. degree in 1881. In 1882 he was hired as a clerk for the district stipendiary magistrate in Hallingdal. Already the next year he returned to Bergen to work as a merchant.
