The list of Norwegian monarchs ( no, kongerekken or ''kongerekka'') begins in 872: the traditional dating of the Battle of Hafrsfjord, after which victorious King Harald Fairhair merged several petty kingdoms into that of his father. Gerd Søraa
Gerd Søraa (8 April 1934 – 8 March 2018) was a Norwegian writer and politician for the Liberal People's Party. She served in the position of deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Sør-Trøndelag for the joint list of the Centre Party, the Christian Democratic Party, the Liberal Party and her own party during the term 1977–1981. In 1980 she became the first female party leader of the Liberal People's Party, and held this position to 1982. As a writer she was the editor-in-chief for the newspapers ''Nidaros'' and ''Trønderbladet ''Trønderbladet'' is a local online and print newspaper published in Melhus, Norway. is the largest Norwegian biographical encyclopedia. The first edition (NBL1) was issued between 1921 and 1983, including 19 volumes and 5,100 articles. It was published by Aschehoug with economic support from the state. bought the rights to NBL1 from Aschehoug in 1995, and after a pre-project in 1996–97 the work for a new edition began in 1998. The project had economic support from the Fritt Ord Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, and the second edition (NBL2) was launched in the years 1999–2005, including 10 volumes and around 5,700 articles. Alfred Oftedal Telhaug (25 September 1934 – 10 June 2016) was a Norwegian educationalist. Early life Telhaug was born in Skudeneshavn to Vicar Andreas Telhaug and Randi Oftedal. He graduated from Stavanger Cathedral School in 1953, the teacher's school in Oslo in 1959, the University of Oslo in 1962, and study the Ph.D. degree at the University of Trondheim in 1990. Work He was assigned with ''Norges Lærerhøgskole'' in Trondheim (later the Norwegian University of Science and Technology) from 1967 to 2001, and chaired the University's Institute of Pedagogy for three periods. Leif Frode Onarheim
Leif Frode Onarheim (23 August 1934 – 9 September 2021) was a Norwegian businessperson and politician for the Conservative Party. Onarheim was board member and chair of several enterprises. He served as President of the Federation of Norwegian Industries, and later of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise. He was appointed rector of the BI Norwegian Business School, and was elected member of the Storting from 2001 to 2005. Jarle Bondevik
Jarle Bondevik (29 June 1934 – 4 April 2016) was a Norwegian philologist. He was born in Sogndal, and took the a cand.philol. degree at the University of Bergen in 1961. He worked as a lecturer at Aarhus University from 1961 to 1963, and at Bergen University College, Bergen Teacher's College from 1963 to 1972. In 1972 he was appointed as a lecturer at the University of Bergen. The dr.philos. degree from the University of Bergen institution followed in 1988, and in 1993 he became a professor. From 1991 to 1999 he was also an assisting professor at Volda University College. He is a former member of the Norwegian Language Council, and together with Oddvar Nes and Terje Aarset he has published nine volumes of unreleased material from Ivar Aasen. He resided in Søreidgrend. Bente Børsum
Bente Børsum (born 21 June 1934) is a Norwegian actress, probably best known for her roles in the movies "''Mors hus''" (1974) and "''Reisen til julestjernen''" (1976). Børsum had her debut in the movie "''Jakten''" in 1959, and worked at Oslo Nye Teater from 1979. She retired from regular performance in 2005, with her performance in the play The House of Bernarda Alba by Federico García Lorca. Since then she has continued to perform, however, and has toured the country with her monologue about her mother, "''Min forestilling om mor''". Børsum's mother, Lise Børsum, was involved in the Norwegian resistance movement in World War II and spent time in Ravensbrück concentration camp. When she returned, she abandoned her husband and child. Børsum's grandfather was the composer Eyvind Alnaes. Torbjørn Yggeseth
Torbjørn Yggeseth (18 June 1934 – 10 January 2010) was a Norwegian ski jumper who was active in the 1960s. He competed for Heggedal Idretsslag. Yggeseth won the ski jumping competition at the Holmenkollen ski festival in 1963, the same year he earned the Holmenkollen medal (shared with Alevtina Kolchina, Pavel Kolchin, and Astrid Sandvik). He also had two career victories. Competing in two Winter Olympics, he earned his best finish of fifth in the individual large hill event at Squaw Valley in 1960. After retiring from competitions, Yggeseth had been involved in administrative roles inside the FIS, including serving on its technical committee for ski jumping as chair from 1982 to 2004. Yggeseth trained in the United States Air Force as a pilot. He also created the Ski Jumping World Cup which first began in the 1979–80 season. He died of prostate cancer, aged 75.
