Prince William of Denmark and Norway or Prince Vilhelm (21 February 1687 – 23 November 1705) was the youngest son of Christian V of Denmark and Charlotte Amalie of Hesse-Kassel Charlotte Amalie of Hesse-Kassel (27 April 1650 – 27 March 1714) was Queen of Denmark and Norway by marriage to King Christian V. Although she did not have much political influence, she was a successful businesswoman in her many estates and pro ..., and thus a younger brother of Frederick IV. In 1696, Joachim Pritzbuer, who was replaced in 1705 by Martin Balthasar von Waldersee, was appointed Vilhelm's chamberlain. The latter was to accompany the prince on his great voyage abroad to Utrecht, the Spanish Netherlands, France, Italy and England. The instructions for Waldersee and the prince's secretary and teacher Johan Ernst Carlowitz are dated October 2, but soon after, Vilhelm fell ill and died on November 23 at Copenhagen Castle. Dorothea Elisabeth Christiansdatter
Dorothea Elisabeth of Schleswig-Holstein (1 September 1629 – 18 March 1687) was the daughter of king Christian IV of Denmark and Kirsten Munk. As were her siblings, she was raised by her grandmother Ellen Marsvin. She was known as ''Miss leftover'', as the king did not recognize her as his child, believing her to be the daughter of Otto Louis of Salm. Marsvin tried to have her recognized, but failed, and in 1637, she was sent to Hamburg and then to a convent school in Cologne. She converted to Roman Catholicism from Lutheranism, religion of her parents, and became a nun A nun is a woman who vows to dedicate her life to religious service, typically living under vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience in the enclosure of a monastery or convent.''The Oxford English Dictionary'', vol. Adam Christopher Knuth (1687–1736)
Adam Christopher (von) Knuth (28 September 1687 - 23 January 1736) was the first Count of Knuthenborg. He established the manor of Knuthenlund. He was married twice, first to Hedevig Ulrikke Luxdorph and second time to Ida Margrethe von Reventlow. Early life and education Knuth was born as the son of Eggert Christopher von Knuth and Søster Knuth née Lerche. His mother inherited the estate Årsmarke on Lolland in 1791. He studied at the Knight's Academy in Copenhagen from 1705 to 1707 and also went on a journey to the Netherlands and England in 1707. Property and titles Knuth was appointed chamberlain in 1710. His mother converted Årsmarke into a countship for her eldest son when, in 1714, Adam Christoffer von Knuth was elevated to the status of a count under Frederick IV which resulted in the change of the estate to Knuthenborg. Lars Benzon
Lars Benzon (July 21, 1687 – October 5, 1741) was a landowner and a Deputy Director (''deputeret'') in the General Affairs Commission of the Danish Royal Navy. Biography Lars Benzon was born at Sæbygård Manor on the island of Zealand, Denmark. He was the son of General Counselor of the Admiralty Council, Niels Benzon (1646–1708) and Else Scavenius (1660–89). In 1717, while he was working as a personal secretary (''kammerjunker''), he received an appointment as deputy in the General Commissioner, a high-ranking title he held during the times of Count Frederik Danneskiold-Samsøe (1707-1770). Danneskiold was a grandson of King Christian V of Denmark and served as secretary council (''Geheimrat'') from 1729 and Lieutenant admiral from 1743.
