Hebei or , (; alternately Hopeh) is a northern province of China. Hebei is China's sixth most populous province, with over 75 million people. Shijiazhuang is the capital city. The province is 96% Han Chinese, 3% Manchu, 0.8% Hui, and 0.3% Mongol. Three Mandarin dialects are spoken: Jilu Mandarin, Beijing Mandarin and Jin. Hebei borders the provinces of Shanxi to the west, Henan to the south, Shandong to the southeast, Liaoning to the northeast, and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to the north. Wang Zhengpu (; born August 1963) is a Chinese politician who is the current governor of Hebei, in office since 21 October 2021. Previously he served as director of the National Administration for Rural Revitalization. Ni Yuefeng (; born September 1964) is a Chinese politician who is the current party secretary of Hebei, in office since April 2022. Previously he served as head and party branch secretary of the General Administration of Customs and before that, party secretary of Fuzhou and deputy party secretary of Fujian. He is a representative of the 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and a member of the 19th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. Shijiazhuang (; ; Mandarin: ), formerly known as Shimen and romanized as Shihkiachwang, is the capital and most populous city of China’s North China's Hebei Province. Administratively a prefecture-level city, it is about southwest of Beijing, and it administers eight districts, two county-level cities, and 12 counties.
