Škoda Artic
Artic, styled as ARTIC or ForCity Smart, is an articulated tram, articulated low-floor tram, low-floor tram model designed and manufactured by Škoda Transtech, Škoda Transtech Oy in Finland. Trams of the design are in operation in Finland, Germany and Czechia, with further large orders in these countries. The design was subsequently rebranded under the Škoda ForCity brand. Helsinki In December 2010 the design was included in the winning tender to deliver 40 new trams to the Helsinki City Transport (HKL), the municipal tram operator of Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (HSL), with an option for 90 units more. The winning bid was worth €113 million, which makes the unit cost of the initial agreement €2.8 million per tram. Škoda Transtech
Škoda Transtech Oy is Finland's major domestic manufacturer of low-floor tram and railway rolling stock. It specializes in building tram and railway vehicles for extreme climatic conditions, such as those encountered in Finland. History The company was established in 1985 when the Finnish engineering firm Rautaruukki started manufacturing freight wagons in Otanmäki and Taivalkoski. In 1991 the railway rolling stock works of Valmet (in Tampere), which specialized in the manufacture of carriages and locomotives, was merged with Transtech. In 1998 Rautaruukki sold the Taivalkoski factory to Telatek Oy, retaining the Otanmäki plant. Märkisch-Oderland is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in the eastern part of Brandenburg, Germany. Rüdersdorf is a municipality in the district Märkisch-Oderland, in Brandenburg, Germany, near Berlin. It is served by the Schöneiche bei Berlin tramway which runs from Rüdersdorf through Schöneiche to Berlin-Friedrichshagen station on the Berlin S-Bahn network. Schöneiche Bei Berlin Tramway
The Schöneiche bei Berlin tramway is the tramway network of the city of Schöneiche bei Berlin, Germany. Route The route starts at the Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station, located on line S3. It also connects to lines 60 and 61 of the Berlin trams here. It then runs alongside Schöneicher Landstraße, before diverging from the road, and entering Brandenburg, and the town of Schöneiche. It then runs on street, through Kirschenstraße and Puschkinstraße, before passing the depot, at which point it returns to a single track running alongside Dorfstraße. It then makes a 90 degree turn at a roundabout, and travels past the centre of Schöneiche. After leaving Schöneiche, and following Kalkberger Straße, passing under the A10 road, the line then enters the town of Rüdersdorf, terminating at a loop located at Marienstraße.
