Vlado Šegrt
Vlado Šegrt (18 December 1907 – 1 August 1991) was a Yugoslav participant in the National Liberation Struggle and a socio-political worker in the Socialist Republics of Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia. He was a reserve Major General and national hero of Yugoslavia. From September 1948 to March 1953 he was the President of the Presidency of the National Assembly of the People's Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Early life and education Šegrt was born in a Serbs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbian family on 18 December 1907, in the village of Aranđelovo, near Trebinje. Lapitch The Little Shoemaker
''Lapitch the Little Shoemaker'' (, ) is a 1997 animated feature that was originally released by Croatia Film. Produced on vintage cel equipment during the early 1990s, this was the third feature from Croatia Film's animation unit and director Milan Blažeković, after ''The Elm-Chanted Forest'' (1986) and '' The Magician's Hat'' (1990). It is based on '' The Brave Adventures of Lapitch'', a 1913 novel by Croatian author Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić. In this adaptation, all of the characters are animals, and the title character is a mouse, rather than the human character of the original work. As with the book, the film is about a shoemaker's apprentice who leaves the confines of his ill-tempered master, and sets off on an adventure. Mirjana Šegrt (born 13 April 1950, in Dubrovnik) is a retired Croatian freestyle and butterfly swimmer who competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics for Yugoslavia. The gusle () or lahuta (; related to English ''lute'') is a bowed single-stringed musical instrument (and musical style) traditionally used in the Dinarides region of Southeastern Europe (in the Balkans). The instrument is always accompanied by singing; musical folklore, specifically epic poetry. The gusle player holds the instrument vertically between the knees, with the left hand fingers on the string. The string is never pressed to the neck, giving a harmonic and unique sound. Singing to the accompaniment of the Gusle as a part of Serbia's intangible cultural heritage was inscribed in 2018 on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO.
