Mirjana Šegrt
Mirjana Šegrt (born 13 April 1950, in Dubrovnik) is a retired Croatian freestyle and butterfly swimmer who competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics for Yugoslavia. She was fifth in the 200 m and seventh in 100 m freestyle events. She also won three silver medals at the 1970 European Aquatics Championships The 1970 European Aquatics Championships were held in Barcelona, Spain from 5 to 13 September 1970. Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one's entire body to move through water. The sport takes place in pools or open water (e.g., in a sea or lake). Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with varied distance events in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and individual medley. In addition to these individual events, four swimmers can take part in either a freestyle or medley relay. A medley relay consists of four swimmers who will each swim a different stroke, ordered as backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle. FISU World University Games Silver Medalists For Yugoslavia
The Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU, en, International University Sports Federation) is responsible for the organization and governance of worldwide sports competitions for student-athletes between the ages of 17 and 25. It was founded in 1949 as the world governing body of national university sports organizations and currently has 174 member associations (National University Sport Federations) from five continents. Between 1949 and 2011, it was based in Brussels ( Belgium); it was relocated to Lausanne (Switzerland) since 2011. The FISU stages its events every two years.
