MKS Ślepsk Suwałki, officially known for sponsorship reasons as Ślepsk Malow Suwałki, is a professional men's volleyball club based in Suwałki in northeastern Poland. Initially, the club was founded in 2004 in Augustów and moved to Suwałki in 2009. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship ( pl, Mistrzostwo Polski). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. The 2022–23 PlusLiga is the 87th season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 70th season of the highest tier domestic division in the Polish volleyball league system since its establishment in 1954, and the 23rd season as a professional league. The league is operated by the Polish Volleyball League SA ( pl, Polska Liga Siatkówki SA). This season is composed of 16 teams, including the Ukrainian team of Barkom Każany Lwów. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. Augustów
Augustów (; lt, Augustavas, formerly known in English as ''Augustovo'' or ''Augustowo'')" is a city in north-eastern Poland with 29,729 inhabitants as of December 2021.
