2022–23 PlusLiga
The 2022–23 PlusLiga is the 87th season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 70th season of the highest tier domestic division in the Polish volleyball league system since its establishment in 1954, and the 23rd season as a professional league. The league is operated by the Polish Volleyball League SA ( pl, Polska Liga Siatkówki SA). This season is composed of 16 teams, including the Ukrainian team of Barkom Każany Lwów. The regular season is played as a round-robin tournament. Each team plays a total of 30 matches, half at home and half away. The season started on 30 September 2022 and will conclude in May 2023. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship ( pl, Mistrzostwo Polski). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. Jędrzej Gruszczyński
Jędrzej Gruszczyński (born 13 November 1997) is a Polish professional volleyball player. He competed for Poland at the 2019 Nations League. At the professional club level, he plays for PGE Skra Bełchatów. Personal life Gruszczyński has a sister Jagoda who is also a volleyball player. He graduated from SMS PZPS Spała in 2016. Career National team On 12 April 2015, the Poland national team, including Gruszczyński, won a title of the U19 European Champions. They beat Italy in the final (3–1). Dawid Andrzej Konarski (born 31 August 1989) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as an opposite spiker for Skra Bełchatów. He is a former member of the Poland national team, a participant in the Olympic Games Rio 2016, and a two–time World Champion (2014, 2018). Bartosz Kwolek (born 17 July 1997) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and the Poland national team. 2023–24 CEV Cup
The 2023–24 CEV Cup was the 52nd edition of the second most important European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. This year’s edition of the CEV Cup consisted of 44 teams, of which 29 teams qualified directly for the CEV Cup; 11 teams were the losers from the Champions League qualification phase; and the remaining 4 joined the rest in the quarterfinals, being transferred there from the Champions League group stage as the 3rd placed teams in their respective pools. Asseco Resovia won their maiden CEV Cup, beating SVG Lüneburg in the finals. Stéphen Boyer was named MVP of the final match. The 2023–24 CEV Champions League is the 65th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. WKS Czarni Radom, officially known for sponsorship reasons as Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom, is a professional men's volleyball team based in Radom in central Poland. Founded in 1921 as a football club, the club had many sections in the past, however since 1997 only the volleyball section has remained. Czarni Radom team won the Polish Cup in 1999 and two Polish Championship bronze medals in 1994 and 1995. The club ceased to exist in 2003 and was reactivated in 2007.
