Čista Proza ( sr-cyr, Чиста Проза; trans. ''Pure Prose'') was a former Yugoslav new wave band from Novi Sad, founded by the Serbian producer and sound engineer Milan Ćirić. History The band was formed during the summer of 1979, when Đorđe Pilipović (bass guitar, vocals) and Milan Ćirić (guitar, vocals) met at Krk where they both performed with their own bands. Moving to Novi Sad, the two started looking for musicians, mainly via newspaper adverts, changing numerous lineups until the arrival of the Stevan Mijučić (vocals, guitar) and the Nandor Bakoš (drums, guitar). For a short period of time, the band's drummer was Ivan Fece "Firchie", who was at the time playing with the band La Strada. Together, they started writing their own material, mainly performing at youth work actions. Paraf was a punk rock and later post-punk band from Rijeka, Croatia, known as one of the pioneers of punk rock in the SFR Yugoslavia. History Punk rock years (1976-1980) Following the expansion of punk rock in Europe, teenagers Valter Kocijančić (guitar, vocals), Zdravko Čabrijan (bass) and Dušan Ladavac "Pjer" (drums) formed Paraf in 1976. They played their first gig at Belvedere in Rijeka on December 31, 1976. The band's early live appearances were at Rijeka high-school parties along with the bands of similar musical orientation, Termiti, Protest and Lom. KUD Idijoti was a Croatian and Yugoslav punk rock band formed in Pula in 1981. ''KUD'' in the band's name is the abbreviation for ''Kulturno-umetničko društvo'' (trans. Bukovac ( sr-Cyrl, Буковац) is a suburban settlement of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. It is located in Petrovaradin municipality. The name The name Bukovac is thought to be derived from ''bukva'' ('beech').
