KUD Idijoti
KUD Idijoti was a punk rock band from Pula, Croatia. The name of the band translates to ''Cultural Artistic Society " Idiots"'' The word ''Idijoti'' is deliberately spelled wrong, the correct Croatian form of the word being ''idioti''. The prefix 'KUD' (in full, ''kulturno-umjetničko društvo'' – cultural-artistic society) is a common designation for amateur folklore dance and music groups in the ex- Yugoslav countries. History The band was formed in 1981 and released its debut album in 1986. In 1987 they won the Youth Festival prize in Subotica in competition with over 300 bands and quickly gained recognition as one of the most popular bands on the punk scene of the former Yugoslavia. The Sziget Festival ( hu, Sziget Fesztivál, ; "Sziget" for "Island") is one of the largest Music festival, music and cultural festivals in Europe. It is held every August in northern Budapest, Hungary, on Óbuda Island, Óbudai-sziget ("Old Buda Island"), a leafy 108-hectare (266-acre) island on the Danube. Cancer
Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. These contrast with benign tumors, which do not spread. Pankrti (The ''Bastards'' in Slovene) are a punk rock band from Ljubljana, Slovenia, active in the late 1970s and 1980s. They were known for provocative and political songs. They billed themselves as ''The First Punk Band Behind The Iron Curtain'' (one of their songs was titled, ''Behind the iron curtain old broads pull red beet''). They are one of the most important former Yugoslav punk groups and one of the first punk rock bands ever formed in a communist country. Biography Gregor Tomc and Peter Lovšin, two young men from the Ljubljana suburb of Kodeljevo, came up with the idea of forming a band in 1977. Peter Lovšin
Peter "Pero" Lovšin (born June 27, 1955) is a Slovenian musician, songwriter and singer, best known as a frontman of the first Yugoslav punk rock group ''Pankrti''. After a period with Pankrti in the 1980s, he formed a successful rock band '' Sokoli'' and later continued with a great solo career. He is best known for working with rock music, but also with reggae in the later stages of his 30-year career. He supported the Sex Pistols on their 1996 tour and is now playing with Ivan Kral (Patti Smith, U2). In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he organized several tours with folk rock musicians Vlado Kreslin and Zoran Predin. Among others, they composed the anthem of the Slovenia national football team for the 2000 European Football Championship. Pazin ( it, Pisino, german: Mitterburg) is a town in western Croatia, the administrative seat of Istria County. Ramones
The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. They are often cited as the first true punk rock group. Despite achieving a limited commercial appeal in the United States during their time together, the band saw more success in England and Brazil, and are today seen as highly influential. All of the band members adopted pseudonyms ending with the surname "Ramone", although none of them were biologically related; they were inspired by Paul McCartney, who would check into hotels as "Paul Ramon".
