Øistein Børke
Øistein Bull Børke (first name sometimes Øystein, December 18, 1911 – April 1, 1975) was a Norwegians, Norwegian actor and theater personality. Life and family Børke was born in Oslo, Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was married to the actress Gretelill Fries from 1943 to 1949. Career Børke debuted as a stage actor at the Oslo Nye Teater, New Theater in 1938. In 1947 he founded the Rogaland Teater, Rogaland Theater, which he managed from 1947 to 1949. He wrote the children's comedy ''Askeladden og kongsdatteren'', which premiered at the Centralteatret, Central Theater in Oslo in 1945. In addition to his theater activity, Børke also appeared in two films in 1941. Vestre Gravlund
Vestre Gravlund is a cemetery in the Frogner borough of Oslo, Norway. It is located next to the Borgen metro station. At , it is the largest cemetery in Norway. It was inaugurated in September 1902 and also contains a crematorium (''Vestre krematorium'') and chapel (''Gravkapellet''). The grave chapel was constructed in granite and clay stone and was designed by architect Alfred Christian Dahl (1857–1940). It was built in 1900 and consecrated in 1902. Gretelill Fries
Gretelill Fries (born Margrethe Fries, August 18, 1923 – June 7, 1977) was a Norwegian stage and film actress. Family Fries was born in Bergen, the daughter of the actor and theater manager Hjalmar Fries. She was the niece of the actor Harald Schwenzen and screenwriter Per Schwenzen. She was married to the actor Øistein Børke from 1943 to 1949. She later remarried and was known as Gretelill Fries Kavli. Career Fries debuted at the Rogaland Theater in 1947. She was engaged with the National Theater in Oslo from 1952 to 1954, and she also performed at the New Theater and People's Theater. Fries most often played young women, and her most noted role was as the maid Mirza in Christian Friedrich Hebbel's ''Judith'' in 1954. She appeared in Leif Sinding's film ''Gylne ungdom'' in 1956. Oslo Nye Teater is a theater located in Oslo, Norway. The theater has its main stage in its own theater house at Rosenkrantz' gate 10. It is one of Norway's most visited theatres. Rogaland Teater is a theatre in Stavanger, Norway. Background The theatre building was built in 1883 on a parcel of '' Kannik prestegård''. It was designed by architect Hartvig Sverdrup Eckhoff, and initially held close to 500 seats. The building housed ''Stavanger Faste Scene'' from 1914 to 1921, and Stavanger Teater from 1921 to 1926. Several changes have been made to the building over the years, including enlargements and modifications in 1951, 1974, 1980, and 2001. Rogaland Teater opened on 9 September 1947. ''Hansen og Hansen'' (Hansen and Hansen) is a Norwegian film from 1941. It was directed by Alfred Maurstad. The main roles were played by Liv Bredal and Carsten Winger. The film is based on Finn Bø's play ''Konge for en natt'' (King for One Night), which had been staged at the New Theater. A competition was held for the best theme song for the film. Three hundred manuscripts were submitted, and Jens Larsen from Stavanger won. Finn Bø then wrote the lyrics and title for the melody. The film was a great success at the cinema in 1941. Plot Carsten Winger stars as a young unknown man named Hansen that ends up in a boarding house in the western part of Oslo on the same day that another man named Hansen ( Axel Kielland), a real charmer, is expected. ''Gullfjellet'' (Gold Mountain) is a Norwegian film from 1941 based on ''Guldfjeldet'', a comedy by Ove Ansteinsson about farmers tempted to invest all their money in a gold bonanza. The film was directed by Rasmus Breistein and Titus Vibe-Müller. Plot The city boy Rolf Rønne arrives at Benningstad, a large farm in Hedemark, and gets to work. He meets Jørgen Krullerstugun and lies that he has found gold at Kråkberget, which is on Hans Benningstad's property. Jørgen makes his own investigations at Kråkberget and finds mica and mistakes it for gold. At night, he brings home large quantities of the stone and fills his living room and bedrooms. As rumors spread, purchasing bids start pouring in. The landowner does not want to sell, but he gives up when the gold find is announced in the newspapers.
