Équiterre is a Canadian non-profit and non-governmental organization, operating in Quebec. It manages a community-supported agriculture system of farms and consumers, including households and institutions. The non-profit's mission at founding had two main threads: to improve the Organic farming, organic agriculture economy in Quebec through stimulation of consumer demand, and to ensure access of citizens to local organic products through direct support of producing farms. Steven Guilbeault (; born June 9, 1970) is a Canadian politician and activist who has served as Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture since 2025. Sidney Ribaux
Sidney Ribaux was the co-founder and executive director of Équiterre, a non-profit organisation based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, promoting fair trade, energy conservation and ecological and socially just choices. Ribaux chaired the Board of Directors until 1998. He was then executive director until 2019 and was involved in the development of Équiterre's strategies and educational projects on fair trade, ecological agriculture, energy efficiency and sustainable transportation.
