Élie Castor (born April 28, 1943 in Cayenne, French Guiana, France and died June 16, 1996 in Clermont Ferrand, France) was a French politician from French Guiana who served in the French National Assembly from 1981 to 1993, representing the Guianese Socialist Party. The Guianese Socialist Party (french: Parti socialiste guyanais, PSG) is a political party in the French '' overseas région'' of French Guiana, in South America. Adolphe Sylvestre Félix Éboué (; 26 December 1884 – 17 May 1944) was a French Guiana, French French colonial empires, colonial administrator and Free French Forces, Free French leader. He was the first black French man appointed to a high post in the French colonies, when appointed as Governor of Guadeloupe in 1936.
