Åna-Sira is a village in southwestern Norway, sitting mostly in Sokndal municipality in Rogaland county, but a small portion lies in Flekkefjord municipality in Agder county. The village is located at the mouth of the river Sira where it flows south into Åna fjord (hence the name of the village). Ã…na-Sira Church ( no, Ã…na-Sira kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Sokndal Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Ã…na-Sira, on the northwest shore of the river Sira on the border with Agder county. It is one of the two churches for the Sokndal parish which is part of the Dalane prosti ( deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1888 using designs by the architect Jacob Wilhelm Nordan. The church seats about 100 people. The church was consecrated on 16 March 1888. Sokndal
Sokndal is the southernmost municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Dalane. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Hauge. Other villages in Sokndal include Li, Rekefjord, Sogndalsstranda, and Åna-Sira. Sogndalsstranda is a picturesque, old fishing village, which may have inspired the municipality in becoming Norway's first member of Cittaslow. is a municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Lister. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Flekkefjord. Agder
Agder is a county (''fylke'') and traditional region in the southern part of Norway. The county was established on 1 January 2020, when the old Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder counties were merged. Dalane
Dalane is a traditional district in the southwestern part of Norway, consisting of the municipalities of Lund, Sokndal, Eigersund, and Bjerkreim. Dalane is one of the 15 districts in Western Norway. It sits to the southeast of the very flat Jæren region and south of the moorland of Ryfylke. The district has about 24,159 residents (as of 2014). Dalane has a distinctive hilly, rugged, often treeless, bare, rocky land. There are numerous rivers and lakes, some of which are quite large.
