The Gyldendal Prize, formerly Gyldendal's Endowment, is a Norwegian literary prize awarded by the

It was superseded by the Gyldendal Prize in 1996. The prize is awarded for the entire body of the author's work and regardless of their publisher.
History
In 1996, the Gyldendal's endowment was superseded by the Gyldendal Prize, awarded for "particularly significant writing" over the body of a writer's work.
