Õunapuu is a youth academy graduate of
Nõmme United. He made his senior team debut for the club on 23 August 2020 in a 3–0 league defeat against
Vaprus. During 2021 season of under-17 Eliitliiga Esiliiga, he made headlines by scoring 63 goals from 21 matches.
Õunapuu scored 32 goals from 24 matches in
2023 Esiliiga, which helped the team to win the league and get promoted to
Meistriliiga
