Egert Õunapuu
Egert Õunapuu (born 30 April 2005) is an Estonian footballer who plays as a striker for Esiliiga club Nõmme United. Club career Õunapuu is a youth academy graduate of Nõmme United. He made his senior team debut for the club on 23 August 2020 in a 3–0 league defeat against Vaprus. During 2021 season of under-17 Eliitliiga Esiliiga, he made headlines by scoring 63 goals from 21 matches. Õunapuu scored 32 goals from 24 matches in 2023 Esiliiga, which helped the team to win the league and get promoted to Meistriliiga for the first time in club's history. The 2025 Esiliiga is the 35th season of the Esiliiga, the second tier of Estonian football. The season began on 1 March and is scheduled to conclude on 24 November 2025. Teams The league consisted of ten teams; seven teams remaining from the previous season, two teams promoted from the Esiliiga B, and one team relegated from the Meistriliiga. The promoted teams were the 2024 Esiliiga B champions Tammeka U21 and runners-up Nõmme Kalju U21. They replaced the 2024 Esiliiga bottom two teams Paide Linnameeskond U21 and Tabasalu. Meistriliiga (), officially known as A. Le Coq Premium Liiga for sponsorship reasons, and commonly known as the Premium Liiga, is the highest division of the Estonian Football Association annual football (soccer), football championship. The league was founded in 1992, and was initially semi-professional with amateur clubs allowed to compete. With the help of solidarity mechanisms, the league is fully professional since the 2020 Meistriliiga, 2020 season. As in most countries with low temperatures in winter, the season starts in March and ends in November. Meistriliiga consists of ten clubs, all teams play each other four times.
