Early and personal life

Schmiedlová was born in

. Her younger sister, Kristína Schmiedlová, was also a tennis player, but ended her career at the age of 21 to study medicine. Schmiedlová is in a relationship with fellow professional tennis player Lukáš Klein and in May 2025 the couple announced she was pregnant with their first child.

2013: Grand Slam and top 100 debuts

Schmiedlová qualified for her first Grand Slam tournament at the
