Team allocation and schedule

The competition includes all professional first teams from the
Premier League The Premier League is a professional association football league in England and the highest level of the English football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the English Football Lea ...
(16/16 teams of the league), First League (18/18), Second League (13/20) and 2 best performer from the previous year's Amateur Cup. Seven clubs' second teams all from the Second League are not eligible for the tournament.
