2024–25 Ukrainian Premier League
The 2024–25 Ukrainian Premier League season, referred to as the Ukrainian Premier League VBET for sponsorship reasons, is the 34th top-level football club competition since the fall of the Soviet Union and the 17th since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). Shakhtar Donetsk entered the season as the defending champions and the leading club in the last three seasons. Shakhtar were "dethroned" by Dynamo, which finished the season with no losses for the first time since the 2014–15 season. The season started earlier than expected due to the sudden withdrawal of SC Dnipro-1, which forced the UPL to organize a mini-tournament of four teams for the extra spot in late July. The tournament included teams that were relegated to the second tier and those that lost promotion/relegation play-offs. The Ukrainian Premier League ( ) or UPL is a professional association football league in Ukraine and the highest level of the Ukrainian football league system. 2014–15 Ukrainian Premier League
The 2014–15 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 24th since its establishment. The competition commenced on 25 July when Metalurh Donetsk hosted Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in Lviv. Due to the war in Donbas, the league reduced the number of teams. Format Initially, a new format was proposed to be introduced for this season by FC Shakhtar Donetsk. The first stage was to be a regular round robin of home/away format. In the second stage the championship was to have an additional play-off format where participants, upon completion of the regular round robin, were to be split into three groups of 4 (1–4 places), 4 (5–8 places) and 6 (9–14 places) teams. The points earned in the first stage were to be preserved. The first two groups of four teams would each have a regular round robin home/away format, while the third group of six was to play each other only once. FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih () is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Kryvyi Rih. Until 2013 the club participated in professional competitions. In June 2013 the club went bankrupt and was expelled from the Ukrainian Premier League. There was a failed attempt to revive the club in 2014, until finally the club was reestablished again in 2015. FC Zorya Luhansk ( ) is a Ukrainian football team. Zorya Luhansk was based in the city of Luhansk, Ukraine. However, due to the Russo-Ukrainian War, the team currently plays its games at Slavutych-Arena in Zaporizhzhia. The modern club as a team of masters was established on 10 April 1964 by the Football Federation of the Soviet Union merging the October Revolution Plant ( Luhanskteplovoz) sports club Zorya and the Luhansk regional branch of the " Trudovye Rezervy" sports society. FC Mynai () is a Ukrainian professional association football, football club from Mynai, a suburb of Uzhhorod in Zakarpattia Oblast.
