2024–25 Ukrainian Second League
The 2024–25 Ukrainian Second League is the 34th since its establishment. The competition started on 7 August 2024 and was scheduled to pause for a winter intermission on 27 October after Round 12, but was extended due to Russian hostilities of the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War. The last 6 rounds of the competition were scheduled to be played in the following spring. Due to regular airstrikes by the Russian Armed Forces, restrictions were implemented for attendance, with many games being played without spectators. For the winter break, both second teams of Rukh-2 (Group A, FC Rukh Lviv, Rukh Lviv) and Kolos-2 (Group B, FC Kolos Kovalivka, Kolos Kovalivka) finished at the top of their respective groups. On 29 October 2024, the PFL announced that during the winter break on initiative of separate clubs from the Second League it has organized an 2024 PFL open tournament, invitational friendly tournament starting 2 November 2024 and finishing around 30 November 2024. Ukrainian Second League
The Ukrainian Second League (, ''Druha Liha'') is a professional football league in Ukraine which is part of the Professional Football League of Ukraine, a collective member of the Ukrainian Association of Football. As the third tier it was established in 1992 as the Transitional League and changed its name the next season. The league is lower than the Ukrainian First League (''Persha Liha'') and the lowest level of professional football competitions in the country. Since 1996 the league, after being merged with its lower tier (in 1992–1995 there was the Third League), consists of two main regions roughly north-west and south-east. SC Vilkhivtsi is a Ukrainian football club from Vilkhivtsi, Zakarpattia Oblast. FC Real Pharma Odesa
FC Real Pharma Odesa is a professional Ukrainian football club from the city of Odesa. The "Pharma" portion of the name comes from ''pharmaceutical'' influences that are associated with the club's ownership as evident on the original logo which is in English rather than Ukrainian. The team is currently playing Ukrainian Second League after competing in the Ukrainian Amateur championship. The club was formed in 2000. History The team was founded in 2000 as Limed Pokrovske and until 2011 played in Odesa. Since 2005 the club was known as Real-Pharm. Football Club Livyi Bereh Kyiv () is a Ukrainian professional football club from Kyiv Oblast. The club is based at the Kyiv's Osokorky neighborhood located at the left-bank of Dnipro. FC Hirnyk-Sport Horishni Plavni is a Ukrainian football club based in Horishni Plavni, Poltava Oblast. The club competes in the First League. The club is sponsored by Ferrexpo. History The club was founded in 1989. After some above average performances in the KFK 3rd Zone (Central Ukraine) Amateur Championship the club's administration decided to enter the professional league. 2023–24 Ukrainian First League
The 2023–24 Ukrainian First League was the 33rd football league since its establishment. The league competition consisted of 20 teams. The competition is conducting during the ongoing war with the Russia since late February 2022. It was decided to conduct competitions in two groups. The competitions were officially approved by the Ukrainian Association of Football Executive Committee only two days before the start of the season. Matches of the First League were the first games of the 2023–24 season. Format Due to the Russo-Ukrainian War, the league competitions changed its usual format. Football Club Oleksandriya-2 is a Ukrainian football team based in Oleksandriia, Ukraine, and it serves as a junior team for the FC Oleksandriya. Like most tributary teams, the best players are sent up to the senior team, meanwhile developing other players for further call-ups. History Oleksandriya-2 was created on 6 June 2024 before the start of 2024–25 Ukrainian Second League season. Previously under the name of Polihraftekhnika, there existed Polihraftekhnika-2 in 1990s. FC Polissya-2 Zhytomyr
Football Club Polissya Zhytomyr () is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Zhytomyr, Polissya. It plays in the Ukrainian Premier League, the top tier of Ukrainian football, following promotion from the 2022–23 Ukrainian First League. The original Soviet team of masters became defunct after the 2004–05 season and for almost decade the city was without its professional club, although the Polissia football academy as a specialized sports school continued to play at local competitions.
