Format

The league had a split-season format. The regular season had a double round robin schedule, with each team playing the other seven teams twice, once at home and once away, for a total of 14 matches each. After that, the top four teams qualified for a championship playoff, and the bottom four teams played a placement playoff. Each group also played a double round robin format, with each team playing the three other teams in its cohort twice, for a total of 6 matches each. Points accumulated in the regular season were halved and added to the points of the playoff stage rounds for the final standings.
