Zurab Zviadauri
Zurab Zviadauri (born 2 July 1981) is a Georgian judoka who competed in the Judo at the 2004 Summer Olympics – Men's 90 kg, Men's 90 kg at the Judo at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2004 Summer Olympics and won the gold medal, the first for Georgia. He is a scholarship holder with the Olympic Solidarity program. He also won two silver medals on World Judo Championships, world championships (in 2001 World Judo Championships – Men's 90 kg, 2001 and in 2003 World Judo Championships – Men's 90 kg, 2003) and a bronze on European Judo Championships, European championship in 2002 European Judo Championships – Men's 90 kg, 2002. Zvidauri is also signed to mixed martial arts-promotion World Victory Road, but has yet to make his MMA-debut. In 2012, he was elected to the Parliament of Georgia for the Akhmeta Municipality on a Georgian Dream coalition ticket. Khevsureti () is a historical and ethnographic region in eastern Georgia. Khevsurs are the branch of Kartvelian ( Georgian) people located along both the northern (''Pirikita khevsureti'') and southern (''Piraketa khevsureti'') slopes of the Great Caucasus Mountains. By the conventional definition of the Europe-Asia boundary as following the watershed of the Greater Caucasus, Khevsureti is geographically a European part of Georgia. World Victory Road
World Victory Road (WVR) was a Japanese mixed martial arts (MMA) organization which promoted the Sengoku Raiden Championship (SRC) in Japan. The organization was formed in 2007 following the purchase of PRIDE FC by Zuffa. It operated in conjunction with the Japan Mixed Martial Arts Federation (JMM). The Sengoku championship was broadcast on Fuji Television, Fuji TV and pay-per-view in Japan, and on HDNet in United States. World Judo Juniors Championships
The World Judo Juniors Championships are the highest level of international judo competition for juniors, 20 years of age or less. The championships are held once every year (except the years when the Olympics take place) by the International Judo Federation, and qualified judoka compete in their respective categories as representatives of their home countries. The World Juniors Championships are the only junior event awarding ranking points for the seniors world ranking list. The last edition of the championships took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan in 2024.
