Zdena Herfortová (born 8 October 1945) is a Czech film and stage actress. She has performed over 90 theatre roles and 150 television roles. At the 1995 Thalia Awards The Czech ''Actors' Association'' has presented its annual Thalia Awards (Czech: Ceny Thálie) since 1993. The award is named after Thalia, the muse of comedy. The 2016 ceremony was broadcast by Czech Television and radio station Český rozhlas ... she won the category of Best Actress in a Play, for the title role in the production of ''Alžběta Anglická''. She performed at the Mahen Theatre in Brno between 1968 and 1992, subsequently transferring to the Brno City Theatre. Since 1976, she has taught at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. ''Četnické humoresky'' is a Czech Republic, Czech crime television series about a gendarmerie investigative unit, stationed in the city of Brno. The story is set in the period of interbellic First Czechoslovak Republic and combines elements of Police procedural, crime drama and comedy. The stories are based on real case files from that era. The series was directed by Antonín Moskalyk and later by his daughter Pavlína Moskalyková Solo. ''Doktoři z Počátků'' is a medical TV series from a picturesque Czech village broadcast on TV Nova from June 25, 2013, to January 11, 2016. It is a spin-off of the series Ordinace v růžové zahradě 2. The main character in the series is doctor Ota Kovář (Martin Stránský) from the Ordinace v růžové zahradě 2. The main characters are village doctors with different personalities and generational differences, but with one common enemy. Production The series is a spin-off of the successful TV series Nova Ordinace v růžové zahradě 2. It is filmed in hospitality studios and in the central Bohemian village of Pyšely. The ratio of scenes in the exterior and interior is roughly balanced, compared to Ordinace, there is more shooting outside. Brno City Theatre (Czech: Městské divadlo Brno; MdB) is a repertoire theatre in Brno, Czech Republic, that focuses on dramatic and music production, mainly musical theatre. The building of the theatre is located on Lidická street in town square Brno-center. It has two acting areas – dramatical scene (capacity 365 places) and musical theatre scene (capacity 680 places).
