Yorgancıoğlu Cabinet
YorgancıoÄŸlu cabinet was the government of Northern Cyprus between 2 September 2013 and 16 July 2015. It was formed after the Northern Cyprus parliamentary election, 2013, 2013 parliamentary election, with the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) as the senior partner and the Democratic Party (Northern Cyprus), Democratic Party (DP) as the junior partner. Composition The initial composition of the cabinet was as seen below: ArabacıoÄŸlu, the Minister of National Education, resigned on 23 September 2014, citing a lack of system, and according to ''Kıbrıs Postası'', problems with transferring teachers to schools and students to colleges. On 8 October 2014, the Central Administrative Board of the DP convened and decided to remove KaÅŸif and Bakırcı from their posts as well. Özkan YorgancıoÄŸlu (born 1 August 1954) is a Turkish Cypriot politician who has been Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) between 2 September 2013 and 16 July 2015. He is also the leader of the Republican Turkish Party. Early life and education YorgancıoÄŸlu was born in 1954 in Lempa, a village in Paphos, the westernmost district of Cyprus, which was, at the time, a British crown colony. He studied at Istanbul University's Department of Economics and Public Finance, receiving his degree in political science in 1980. Political career On 28 April 2005, YorgancıoÄŸlu was appointed Minister of Youth and Sports in the cabinet of TRNC Prime Minister (PM) Ferdi Sabit Soyer, who served from April 2005 to May 2009. Ahmet KaÅŸif (born 1950) is a Turkish Cypriot politician. He is a member of the Assembly of the Republic (Northern Cyprus), Assembly of the Republic from GazimaÄŸusa District, GazimaÄŸusa, and he is a member of the National Unity Party (Northern Cyprus), National Unity Party. He has been a member of the Assembly since 1990. He ran for the presidency of his party against İrsen Küçük in 2012.
