Women's England Hockey League
The Women's England Hockey League is a field hockey league organised by England Hockey that features women's teams from England. From 2011–2020 it was sponsored by Investec and was referred to as the Investec Women's Hockey League. Format Regular season There are 62 teams in the league, the top tier consists of a Premier Division of 12 teams. Below this is tier two, which consists of two ten team Division One regional teams (North and South). The third tier consists of three regional conferences North, West, and East, all consisting of ten teams. The teams play each other home and away during an 18 week season from September to April. The league has a winter break between December and February. At the end of the season there are a series of play-offs that decide which teams are promoted and relegated and which team finish as champions. European Hockey Federation
EuroHockey is a European sports federation for field hockey, based in Brussels. It is the umbrella organisation for all European national federations, and organises the Euro Hockey League. The president of the league is Marcos Hofmann. In reaction to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the European Hockey Federation banned the participation of all Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials from all events sanctioned by the Federation. Hightown Hockey Club
Hightown Hockey Club was a field hockey club based at Hightown, Merseyside. The men's section of the hockey club was formed in 1914 and was part of the Hightown Club which ran several sports including cricket, rugby, tennis and football. The women's section was formed later and became one of the leading clubs in England winning three league championships and four national cup wins. Olton & West Warwickshire Hockey Club (Olton & West Warwick for short) is a field hockey club based at the West Warwickshire Sports Club in Grange Road, Olton, Solihull, West Midlands. Clifton Hockey Club
Clifton Robinsons Hockey Club is a field hockey club based at Westbury-on-Trym in Bristol. It was formed by the merging of Clifton Ladies Hockey Club and Robinsons Hockey Club. The clubs had shared close links for many years, sharing pitches, umpires, coaches and annual dinners and in summer 2016 joined to form a single club. The Ladies' 1st XI play in the Women's England Hockey League and the Men's 1st XI play in the Men's England Hockey League. The club fields six ladies' and seven men's league sides and as well as junior and masters teams. As Clifton Ladies, the club has won the Women's Cup on four occasions (1998, 2000, 2016 and 2019) and was runner-up in 1996, 1997, 2005, 2013 and 2015.
