Walter Walsh (hurler)
Walter Walsh (born 25 May 1991) is an Irish Hurling, hurler who plays for Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling Championship club Tullogher–Rosbercon GAA, Tullogher–Rosbercon and previously at inter-county level with the Kilkenny senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a centre-forward. Playing career Good Counsel College Walsh first came to prominence as a hurler with St Augustine's and Good Counsel College, New Ross, Good Counsel College in New Ross. He played in every grade of hurling before eventually joining the college's senior hurling team. On 14 March 2009, Walsh was at midfield when Good Counsel College faced Castlecomer Community School in the Leinster Colleges Senior Hurling Championship, Leinster final. He scored a point from play and collected a winners' medal following the 1-13 to 2-08 victory. The Leinster GAA Under-20 Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the oneills.com Leinster GAA Under-20 Hurling Championship), is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Leinster. The 2010 Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-21 Championship was the 47th staging of Ireland's hurling knock-out competition for players aged between 18 and 21. 2008 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2008 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 78th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 29 March 2008 and ended on 7 September 2008. Tipperary entered the championship as the defending champions in search of a third successive title, however, they were beaten by Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 7 September 2008 Kilkenny won the championship following a 3-6 to 0-13 defeat of Galway in a replay of the All-Ireland final.
