Várkert Stadium is a football stadium in Kisvárda, Hungary. The UEFA stadium categories, UEFA category 3 arena is home to the association football side Kisvárda FC. The stadium has a capacity of 2,850. History The stadium was planned to be built for HUF 120 million in 2014, however step by step it managed to cost taxpayers a lot more. After categorised as an economically significant investment, another HUF 800 million was awarded in 2014, which grew to 1.5 billion and then 2 billion in a short time. In the end a further 473 million HUF was spent on building a heat pipe system from the nearby thermal water complex - making the total investment HUF 2.5 billion - basically 1 million for each spectator seat. Kisvárda
Kisvárda (; , ) is a town in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary near the border of Slovakia and Ukraine. It is the 3rd largest town in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg after Nyíregyháza and Mátészalka with a population of 16 669 people. The Subregion of Kisvárda lies between two large landscapes, the Nyírség and the Rétköz. Nyíregyháza Spartacus is a professional football club from Nyíregyháza, Hungary. Formed in 1928, it has had brief stints in the Nemzeti Bajnokság III. It set to play in the NB I from 2024–25 after promotion from NB II in 2023–24. The team is locally referred to by its monicker, ''Szpari''. Its games take place in Városi Stadion, in the city sport complex just north of the downtown. Fernando Gorriarán Fontes (born 27 November 1994) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga MX club Tigres UANL. Gheorghe "Gicu" Teodor Grozav (; born 29 September 1990) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a winger or an attacking midfielder for Liga I club Petrolul Ploiești, which he captains. Grozav started his senior career at his hometown club Unirea Alba Iulia in 2007. At the start of 2010, he moved abroad for the first time to Belgian side Standard Liège.
