The 2022–23 Nemzeti Bajnokság II (also known as 2022–23 Merkantil Bank Liga) is Hungary's 72nd season of the Nemzeti Bajnokság II, the second tier of the Hungarian football league system. The season began in July 2022. Overview This league will be last season as 20 teams and reduced to 18 teams from 2023–24, two teams directly relegated to NB III and three teams will battle relegation play-off against Champions of each group NB III in 2022–23. Nemzeti Bajnokság II
The NB II, currently known as the Merkantil Bank Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of Hungarian football. At the end of the 2004–05 season, the tournament format was changed from one division of 14 teams to two divisions: ''Keleti'' (Eastern) and ''Nyugati'' (Western), each with 16 teams, though now it's just one league table with 16 teams as of the 2024–25 season. The champion and the runner-up will ascend to the first division while the two lowest teams in NB II are relegated to NB III. Format On 2 March 2017, the Hungarian Football Federation announced that the number of the teams in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II will not be reduced to 12. Szeged-Csanád Grosics Akadémia is a Hungary, Hungarian football (soccer), football club located in Szeged, Hungary. BFC Siófok
Bodajk FC Siófok, generally shortened to BFC Siófok, is a Hungarian football club based in Siófok, a small town on the shores of Lake Balaton. The club was founded in 1921 as ''Siófok SE''. The word ''Bodajk'' in the club's name stems from a merger with Bodajk FC in 2005. The colours of the club are yellow and blue. BFC Siófok plays its home matches in the Révész Géza utcai Stadion which has a capacity of 10,500. In the Hungarian cup final of 1984, BFC Siófok defeated Rába Vasas ETO Gyõr, 2–1 and thus achieved its only major success. BFC Siófok has been a member of the first division, the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, from 1985 to 1994, 1996 to 2000, and from 2002 to 2004. After the 2006/07 season, the club was again promoted to the NB I. Szombathelyi Haladás (), is a Hungarian football club based in Szombathely. ''Haladás'' is the Hungarian word for ''progress''.
