Vulcan (german: Wolkendorf; hu, Szászvolkány) is a commune in Brașov County, Transylvania, Romania, 16 km west of the county capital Brașov. It is composed of two villages, Colonia 1 Mai (''Konkordiabányatelep'') and Vulcan. It also included Holbav village until 2004, when it was split off to form a separate commune. Codlea
Codlea (; german: Zeiden; Transylvanian Saxon dialect: ''Zäöeden''; hu, Feketehalom) is a city in Brașov County, Transylvania, Romania. History During the 13th century, the Teutonic Order built a fortress known as ''Schwarzburg'' ("black castle") near the "Măgura Codlei". The castle's name was first noted in 1265 and was rebuilt for the last time in 1432 by the craftsmen's guild that worked in the town. The city of Codlea is believed to have been also founded by Germans. The fortified church in the city is the largest in the Burzenland historic region. Codlea was well known for its flowers and was called the city of flowers. Hălchiu
Hălchiu (german: Heldsdorf; hu, Höltövény) is a commune in Brașov County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Hălchiu and Satu Nou (''Neudorf bei Hopfenseifen''; ''Barcaújfalu''). The commune is located in the east-central part of the county, in the northern part of the Burzenland historical region. It lies north of the county seat, Brașov, and belongs to the Brașov metropolitan area. To the west is Dumbrăvița Lake, with a surface area of . This is the only place in Transylvania and one of the few places in Romania where the grey heron nests in reeds.
