Football Academy of Šiauliai or FA Šiauliai is a Lithuanian football academy from the city of Šiauliai. The team is simply known as "Šiauliai". The academy train women's and men's teams, as well as children's and underage groups in "U" type championships. The men's team currently play in A Lyga, the top tier of Lithuanian football. History Football Academy of Šiauliai was established in 2007, after a merger between Napolis Šiauliai and "Klevas" school of sport. Men's team Men's football team participates under name FA Šiauliai. In 2010 and 2016 the team played in Šiauliai region championship of the III Lyga (4th tier). In 2017 and 2018 team played in II Lyga (3rd tier). In 2017 the team achieved 4th position and 6th in 2018. In 2018 Lithuanian Football Cup, FA Šiauliai lost to FK Sūduva Marijampolė 0:7 in 1/32 round. Futbolo klubas Garliava, commonly known as Garliava, is a Lithuanian football club based in Garliava. They play in the II Lyga, the third tier of Lithuanian football. History The club was founded in early 2008, initially focusing on training 25 children. They debuted in the Lithuanian Football Cup tournament during the 2017 season. 2021 season In 2021, the club was licensed to compete in the I Lyga but was subsequently relegated to the II Lyga. In the tournament's first stage, they competed in the winners' group, advancing to the second round to contend for top positions. They finished fourth overall, earning a spot in the promotional playoffs. In the playoffs, they defeated Sūduva B with an aggregate score of 10–0, winning 9–0 in the first leg and 1–0 in the second. FK Ekranas
Panevėžio Ekranas is a Lithuanian football club, from the city of Panevėžys. It won 7 top-tier champion and 5 national cup titles throughout its existence. History The club was founded in 1964 and for 24 years competed in the top tier of Lithuanian football. However, at the end of 2014 season the club ran into financial difficulties, failed to meet admission criteria to A Lyga for the 2015 season and was subsequently declared bankrupt. A new club FK Panevėžys was formed to represent the city of Panevėžys, which managed to pass licensing criteria for the 2015 I Lyga season. FK Ekranas was declared bankrupt in 2016. In 2020 FK Ekranas was restored. They're currently at the 2nd tier of Lithuanian football. Plungė (; Samogitian: ''Plongė''; ) is a city in Lithuania with 17,252 inhabitants. Plunge is the capital of the Plungė District Municipality which has 33,251 inhabitants (2022). Two parts of the city are separated by the Babrungas River and two bridges are built over it. Plungė is known for Plungė Manor and its park, where the Samogitian Art Museum is located. In the Oginskiai manor park stands the Perkūnas oak natural monument. The Lourdes grotto of Plungė was created in 1905 and attracts visitors. Mažeikiai (; Samogitian: ''Mažeikē''; ; ) is a city in northwestern Lithuania, on the Venta River. It has a population of around 32,000, making it the eighth largest city in Lithuania and eighteenth largest city in the Baltic States. The city is the administrative center of Mažeikiai District Municipality in Telšiai County. It is the largest city that does not have its own county. History Mažeikiai was first mentioned in written sources in 1335. A chronicler of the Livonian Order wrote about a campaign of the Order, during which the land of Duke Mažeika was devastated. They currently play in the I Lyga, the second tier of Lithuanian football. FK Atmosfera is a phoenix club of Atmosfera Mažeikiai. History Mažeikiai has a deep history of football. Since the mid-20th century, there was a football club that competed at the top tier of the Lithuanian SSR football league, achieving two championship titles during that time. This club changed names frequently, but was named Atmosfera Mažeikiai between 1973 and 1990. Between 1990 and 2012, several clubs in Mažeikiai rose up and fell apart, mostly due to financial circumstances. Futbolo klubas Neptūnas, commonly known as Neptūnas is a Lithuanian football team from the port city of Klaipėda. History Club was established in 2020. In January 2020 it was officially announced that Basketball Club Neptūnas aims to have a football team. The team successfully licensed and debuted in the II Lyga. With the help of 5-6 professional footballers, wished to win the II Lyga and to be promoted to the I Lyga.
