Venezia Football Club is an Italian professional Association football, football List of football clubs in Italy, club based in Venice, Veneto, that currently plays in . They were relegated to Serie B after a 2-3 loss to Juventus. Originally founded as Venezia Foot Ball Club in 1907, the club have spent a large part of their history in Italy's top two divisions. Venezia's biggest achievement to date was winning the Coppa Italia in the 1941 Coppa Italia Final, 1940–41 season. They followed this cup success up with their highest Serie A finish of third place in the 1941–42 Serie A, following season. Prima Divisione (''First Division'') was the name of the first level of the Italian Football Championship from 1921 to 1926. The competition was initially founded in opposition to the FIGC by the richest clubs of Northern Italy, which disagreed the old format of the championship, based on regional groups. In 1921–22, two concurrent championships took place, before FIGC accepted the new format for 1922–23. Seconda Divisione (''Second Division'') was the name of the second level of the Italian Football Championship from 1921 to 1926. 1921–22 Prima Divisione
The 1921-22 Prima Divisione was the equal twenty-first edition of the Italian Football Championship. In a highly political season of Italian football, to rival the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC) organised 1921-22 Prima Categoria, Italy's richest clubs created the Prima Divisione. The rivalry lasted only this one season. Afterwards, the FIGC recognised the Prima Divisione format as the official championship. Hence, 1921-22 was the last season in which the Prima Categoria winners were awarded Italian Football Champions. 1914–15 Prima Categoria
The 1914-15 Prima Categoria was the eighteenth edition of the Italian Football Championship and the twelfth since the re-brand to Prima Categoria. The championship was suspended before completion, due to Italy entering World War I on 24 May 1915. Despite the season not concluding, Genoa C.F.C., Genoa were declared champions by the Federation after the War, since Genoa topped the table with one game remaining in the Northern Italy Final Round.In 1920, Torino and Inter appealed against Genoa’s victory, but FIGC finally rejected the request in 1922: [Carlo F. The 1910-11 Prima Categoria season was the fourteenth of the Italian Football Championship and the eighth since the re-brand to Prima Categoria. Champions for the third time in four season and regaining the title after their protest the season before were Pro Vercelli. Regulation The quality committee accepted a third Turinese club, Piedmont FC.Meanwhile, Associazione Calcio Libertas, Libertas F.C. refused to join the championship, leaving incomplete the FIGC’s desired top-ten format. The FIGC organized a test group in the Northeast with four clubs. The competition was expanded to 13 clubs to include for the first time, clubs from outside the Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont triangle.
