Vendula Valdmannová
Vendula Valdmannová (born 10 December 2007) is a Czech tennis player. She has a career-high ITF junior combined ranking of No. 15, achieved on 30 September 2024. She and Kristina Penickova won the girls' doubles title at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships. Early life Valdmannová was born in Havířov. She initially played for Tennis Hill Havířov before moving to TK Precheza in Přerov. Junior career In January 2024, Valdmannová reached the girls' doubles quarterfinals of the Australian Open with Rose Marie Nijkamp. That July, she reached the girls' singles semifinals of Wimbledon, upsetting fourth seed Tyra Caterina Grant and tenth seed Jeline Vandromme in the process. Havířov () is a city in Karviná District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 69,000 inhabitants, making it the second largest city in the region. The 2025 United Cup was the third edition of the United Cup, an international outdoor Hardcourt, hard court Mixed-sex sports, mixed-gender team tennis tournament held by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). Serving as the opener for the 2025 ATP Tour and the 2025 WTA Tour, it was held from 27 December 2024 to 5 January 2025 at two venues in the Australian cities of Perth and Sydney. It offered both ATP rankings and WTA rankings points to its players: a player was able to win a maximum of 500 points. Tyra Caterina Grant (born March 12, 2008) is an Italian tennis player. She won the junior girls' doubles titles at the 2023 French Open, 2024 Australian Open and the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. Early life Grant was born in Rome. Born and raised in Italy, Grant is the daughter of American former basketball player Tyrone Grant, who relocated to Italy to play basketball, and Cinzia Giovinco, an Italian tennis teacher. She has both Italian and American citizenship. She trained at the Piatti Tennis Center in Bordighera, before later moving to Orlando to train at the USTA National Campus.
