Ullrich Dießner
Ullrich Dießner (born 27 December 1954) is a retired German rower who had his best achievements in the coxed fours. In this event he won a silver and a gold medal at the 1976 and 1980 Olympics, respectively, as well as five world titles in 1974, 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1982. For his Olympic achievements Dießner was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in 1976 and 1980. Meissen ( ), is a town of approximately 30,000 about northwest of Dresden and 75 km (46 mi) west of Bautzen on both banks of the Elbe river in the Free State of Saxony, in eastern Germany.
