Tata Young
Amita Marie "Tata" Young ( th, อมิตา มารี "ทาทา" ยัง; born 14 December 1980) is a Thai singer, actress and model who gained prominence in Thailand when she placed first in a national singing contest at age 11, subsequently signing a record deal and releasing her first album ''Amita Tata Young'' in 1995. Within five months, the album had sold over one million copies. Since then, Young has released eight studio albums, three in English and five in Thai. Her most recent album is '' Ready for Love'', released in 2009. She has acted in three films, ''The Red Bike Story'' (Jakkayan See Daeng), ''O-Negative'' and ''Plai Tien'' a TV drama ''Wick of the Candle''. Young performed "Reach for the Stars" at the Opening Ceremony of the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok. Temperature Rising (album)
''Temperature Rising'' is the second English language album by Thai singer Tata Young. It was released in 2006. The album consists of cover songs and original songs. The first single is "El Nin-YO!", from the lyrics of which the album's title comes. ("You got my temperature rising like El Nin-YO!"). Her second single is "Zoom" which was released in September. "Come Rain Come Shine", the third single, was used in Star World's station promo's from December 2006 to mid-2007. The promo includes footage of Tata Young singing "Come Rain Come Shine" as well as scenes from some of Star World's television shows (Everybody Loves Raymond, American Idol etc.) Track #7, "Zoom", was covered by Ashley Tisdale on her 2007 debut album '' Headstrong'', under the title as "Don't Touch (The Zoom Song)". ''I Believe'' is the debut English language album by Thai singer Tata Young and was debuted on 14 February 2004 in Singapore and was released on 25 February 2004 in Asia . The album was a hit throughout Asia, selling more than 1 million copies and being certified gold in India. The album's lead single, "Sexy, Naughty, Bitchy" broke the top 10 on the Oricon charts in Japan and was one of the most successful Asian singles of the year; "Sexy, Naughty, Bitchy" dominated the airwaves and charts throughout Southeast Asia and India. The song, "I Believe", topped the charts in Hong Kong and was a major success throughout Southeast Asia whilst also reaching the top 20 throughout East Asia.
