One Love by Tata Young is a Thai studio album released in March 2008. The first single from the album, "One Love", was released on February 14, 2008. The second single, "Cause of Sadness", was later released. One Love is Tata Young's first studio album since her 2006 success Temperature Rising and her first all Thai album in several years. Amita Marie "Tata" Young ( th, อมิตา มารี "ทาทา" ยัง; born 14 December 1980) is a Thai singer, actress and model who gained prominence in Thailand when she placed first in a national singing contest at age 11, subsequently signing a record deal and releasing her first album ''Amita Tata Young'' in 1995. Within five months, the album had sold over one million copies. Since then, Young has released eight studio albums, three in English and five in Thai. Her most recent album is '' Ready for Love'', released in 2009. She has acted in three films, ''The Red Bike Story'' (Jakkayan See Daeng), ''O-Negative'' and ''Plai Tien'' a TV drama ''Wick of the Candle''. Young performed "Reach for the Stars" at the Opening Ceremony of the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok. String (Thai Pop)
Thai pop or T-pop, is a genre of Thai music roughly equivalent to western pop. It emerged in the 1970s–80s, during which it was known as string music ( th, เพลงสตริง), before gaining mainstream popularity during the 1990s and has since dominated the Thai music industry. The term is extremely broad, covering Thai rock, dance music, rap and western-influenced popular music in general, though normally excluding the folk and rock-influenced ''phleng phuea chiwit''. The origins of string lie in American R&B, surf-rock artists like The Ventures and Dick Dale, Exotica, rockabilly and country and western brought to Thailand by American and Australian soldiers serving in Vietnam in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It also drew heavily on genres from the British Invasion, including rock and roll, garage rock and Hollywood film soundtracks. Temperature Rising (album)
''Temperature Rising'' is the second English language album by Thai singer Tata Young. It was released in 2006. The album consists of cover songs and original songs. The first single is "El Nin-YO!", from the lyrics of which the album's title comes. ("You got my temperature rising like El Nin-YO!"). Her second single is "Zoom" which was released in September. "Come Rain Come Shine", the third single, was used in Star World's station promo's from December 2006 to mid-2007. The promo includes footage of Tata Young singing "Come Rain Come Shine" as well as scenes from some of Star World's television shows (Everybody Loves Raymond, American Idol etc.) Track #7, "Zoom", was covered by Ashley Tisdale on her 2007 debut album '' Headstrong'', under the title as "Don't Touch (The Zoom Song)". ''Ready For Love'' is the third English studio album by Thai pop singer Tata Young, released on August 25, 2009. The album's first single, "Ready For Love", was written by Alex Smith, Mark Taylor and Ayak Thiik and produced by André Brix Buchman from Valicon Company in Germany. It also features a track "Perfection" co-written by Leona Lewis along with many of the tracks written by internationally acclaimed songwriters. Concept The album is a rhythm-and-blues and dance-pop take on 12 tunes from songwriters around the world. The title track, which had been airing for a couple of weeks, "feels cool and energetic like in the '60s", Tata says, saying she learned the "big voice" techniques of American R&B singers Aretha Franklin, Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson.
