Tarai-Madhesh Loktantrik Party
The Terai–Madhesh Loktantrik Party ( ne, तराई-मधेस लोकतान्त्रिक पार्टी (तमलोपा)) is a political party in Nepal. Although the party's primary base is still in Terai Madhesh of Madhesh Province only, it has tried to expand its throughout Terai and Tharuhath regions of Nepal. The party was officially registered at Election Commission on 13 December 2021. Brikhesh Chandra Lal is the chairman of the party and former member of constituent assembly, Bijay Kumar Singh is the senior leader of the party. History The party was officially registered on 3 December 2021 for the second time under the name. Later it was reported that senior leaders Brikhesh Chandra Lal and Bijay Kumar Singh had played role in registering the party under the chairmanship of Ravi Shankar Karna (Subhash). Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party (2007)
The Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party ( ne, तराई-मधेश लोकतान्त्रिक पार्टी) was a political party in Nepal, formed by former Minister and Nepali Congress national treasurer Mahantha Thakur. This party was once the biggest Madhesh based party with a strong base in Terai region of Nepal. The foundation of the party was announced on December 27, 2007. This party was made by Thakur with a popular slogan "''Mare to Mukti, jiye to Madhesh''" meaning if I will live, I will fight for Madhesh and if I will get salvation. This was very popular and is popular till date. The party had four members in the interim parliament including Thakur. 2022 Nepalese Local Elections
The 2022 Nepalese local elections were held on 13 May, 2022 in 6 metropolitan cities, 11 sub-metropolitan cities, 276 municipalities and 460 rural municipalities. These were the second set of local-level elections to be held since the promulgation of the new constitution in 2015. Electoral system Each local body has an elected head, a chair for rural municipalities and a mayor for municipalities. They also have a deputy head, a deputy chair for rural municipalities and a deputy mayor for municipalities. The People's Socialist Party, Nepal ( abbr. PSP-N; ne, जनता समाजवादी पार्टी, नेपाल), also known as Janata Samajbadi Party is the sixth-largest political party in Nepal.
