Turkey Men's National Artistic Gymnastics Team
The Turkey men's national artistic gymnastics team represents Turkey in International Federation of Gymnastics, FIG international competitions. History Aleko Mulos was the first ever Turkish man to compete at the Olympic Games, doing so in Gymnastics at the 1908 Summer Olympics, 1908. Turkey has yet to field a team at the Olympics but had individual athletes compete at the Gymnastics at the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2016 and Gymnastics at the 2020 Summer Olympics, 2020 Olympic Games. At the 2020 Olympic Games Ferhat Arıcan became the first Turkish male gymnast to win an Olympic medal, earning bronze on the Gymnastics at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's parallel bars, parallel bars. European Gymnastics is one of five continental unions that represents the interests of Europe in the International Gymnastics Federation (french: Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique or ''FIG''). Bolu
Bolu is a city in Turkey, and administrative center of the Bolu Province. The population is 131,264 (2012 census). Konak is a district of İzmir Province in Turkey. It is the most densely populated of the eleven main urban districts of İzmir, and has historically acted as the administrative and economic core of the city. İbrahim Çolak (born ) is a Turkish male artistic gymnast, representing his nation at international competitions. At the 2013 Mediterranean Games in Mersin, Turkey, Çolak won the silver medal, his country's first medal in the Mediterranean Games. He competed at world championships, including the 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Nanning, China. He won the bronze medal in the rings event at the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. Gymnastics At The 2024 Summer Olympics
Gymnastics at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will be contested in three categories: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampolining. The artistic (27 July to 5 August) and trampoline (2 August) events will occur at the Bercy Arena, with the rhythmic events staging at Porte de La Chapelle Arena from 8 to 10 August. Qualification The qualification pathway for the 2024 Summer Olympics is significantly simplified and modified from those in 2020. In the artistic team event, a maximum of five gymnasts will be eligible to participate as opposed to the four per team and two individuals who competed in Tokyo 2020. Three teams who finish on the podium qualify for the Olympics through the 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Liverpool with a large proportion of quota places distributed at the same meet in Antwerp, Belgium by the following year. 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Antwerp, Belgium at the Sportpaleis, from 30 September to 8 October 2023. Antwerp hosted the event for the third time; previously the city hosted the first ever World Championships in 1903 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 1903 and again in 2013 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 2013.
