Tuluhan Tekelioğlu
Tuluhan Tekelioğlu (born 5 March 1970) is a Turkish writer, documentary filmmaker and former journalist, television anchorwoman, and talk show host. Early life Tuluhan Tekelioğlu was born in Tours, France, on 5 March 1970, while her father Yavuz Tekelioğlu was conducting his doctoral study at University of Montpellier 1. She was born into a family of modern women with a sense of social responsibility. Her maternal grandmother was a co-founder of the "Association of Progressive Women" (). Her aunt was jailed for two years in the Mamak Military Prison, Ankara, in 1984 after the 1980 military coup because she defended the human rights for women. Her father is a retired professor at Akdeniz University, and specialist for geographical indication. Her brother Balkan, born in 1978, lives and works in France. Cine5 was the first subscription-based television channel in Turkey. It aired in an encrypted format and primarily broadcast feature-length movies when it was founded on September 20, 1993. Subscribers were required to buy a decoder to watch the channel. The number of subscribers reached over half a million. However, in recent years, it enlarged its program spectrum due to competition from other movie-based channels and removed encryption and the subscription policy on January 16, 2006. Viranşehir () is a municipality and district of Şanlıurfa Province, Turkey. Its area is 2,297 km2, and its population is 207,315 (2022). Siverek (; ; ) is a municipality and district of Şanlıurfa Province, Turkey. Its area is 3,936 km2, and its population is 267,942 (2022). Siverek is in the Şanlıurfa province but is geographically closer to the large city of Diyarbakır (approx. 83 km). A majority of the population of the province is Zaza Kurds. Kanal D (English: Channel D) is a nationwide television channel in Turkey that is part of Demirören Group. It was founded by Ayhan Şahenk and Aydın Doğan in 1993.
