It was announced to be operated with 19423/19424 train numbers on weekly basis. The inaugural special service of Gandhidham - Tirunelveli Humsafar Express (09424) was flagged off by Minister of States of Railways Rajen Gohain on 5 July 2018. The regular service started from 16th of that month. Coach composition The Tirunelveli – Gandhidham Humsafar Express operates with 3-Tier AC coaches and sleeper class coaches with LED screens to display information about stations, train speed etc. and has announcement system as well, Vending machines for tea, coffee and milk, Bio toilets in compartments as well as CCTV cameras. Humsafar Express is a fully premium service with AC-3 Tier and Sleeper class accommodation having all the modern facilities designed and operated by Indian Railways. "Humsafar" is an Urdu word meaning "co-passenger" The first service was inaugurated on 16 December 2016 between Gorakhpur and , New Delhi. The fares of Humsafar Express at the time of launch are around 15–20% higher compared to normal AC-3 tier and Sleeper class fares. LHB Coach
Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coach is a passenger coach of Indian Railways that is developed by Linke-Hofmann-Busch of Germany and produced by rail coach manufacturing units at Kapurthala, Chennai and Raebareli. They have been used since 2000 on the broad gauge network of Indian railways. Initially, 24 air-conditioned coaches were imported from Germany for use in the Shatabdi express following which, the Rail Coach Factory started manufacturing after technology transfer. IR declared that all ICF coaches will be replaced by LHB coaches to provide more safety and comfort. Electric Loco Shed, Vadodara is an electric engine shed located in Vadodara, in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is located to south of Vadodara railway station, it falls under the Vadodara railway division of Western Railway. It is the largest of locomotive sheds in the Western Railway zone. The Indian locomotive class WAP-7 is a class of 25 kV AC electric locomotives that was developed in 1999 by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) for Indian Railways. The model name stands for broad gauge (W), AC Current (A), Passenger traffic (P) locomotive, 7th generation (7). They entered service in 2000.
