The Skybridge City Centre Kota Kinabalu
The Skybridge City Centre Kota Kinabalu or well known as ''The Sabahan KK Skybridge'' is a Skyway and pedestrian zone bridge in Sabah, Malaysia. It is recorded as the first longest Skyway of Sabah in 2024. Located near Centre Point Sabah, one of the shopping centres in Kota Kinabalu city, the KK Skybridge was officiated by the 16th Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor, which is equipped with escalators, an elevator for the disabled and 20 air-conditioned retail kiosks. Background The KK Skybridge project aims to provide a safe convenience for the public and also for the disabled to move around as it currently links Oceanus Shopping Mall, Api-Api Centre, and Asia City. Kota Kinabalu
Kota Kinabalu (; formerly known as Jesselton), colloquially referred to as KK, is the state capital of Sabah, Malaysia. It is also the capital of the Kota Kinabalu District as well as the West Coast Division of Sabah. The city is located on the northwest coast of Borneo facing the South China Sea. The Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park lies to its west and Mount Kinabalu, which gave the city its name, is located to its east. Skyway
A skyway, skybridge, skywalk, or sky walkway is an elevated type of pedway connecting two or more buildings in an urban area, or connecting elevated points within mountainous recreational zones. Urban skyways very often take the form of Covered bridge, enclosed or covered footbridges that protect pedestrians from the weather. Open-top modern skyways in mountains now often have glass bottoms. Sometimes enclosed urban skywalks are made almost totally from glass, including ceilings, walls and floors. Also, some urban skyways function strictly as linear parks designed for walking. Hajiji bin Noor (; born 10 May 1955) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the 16th Chief Minister of Sabah since 2020 and Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sulaman since 1990. He is also the first official chairman of political coalition party in Sabah, the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah Party (GRS Party) and 3rd President of the Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (GAGASAN).
