Centre Point Sabah is a Malaysian shopping centre located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, East Malaysia. It is one of the earliest shopping malls in the city of Kota Kinabalu, along with the Karamunsing Complex and Wisma Merdeka. In 2024, this shopping centre officially connected with other shopping malls through The Skybridge City Centre Kota Kinabalu. Kota Kinabalu
Kota Kinabalu (; formerly known as Jesselton), colloquially referred to as KK, is the state capital of Sabah, Malaysia. It is also the capital of the Kota Kinabalu District as well as the West Coast Division of Sabah. The city is located on the northwest coast of Borneo facing the South China Sea. The Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park lies to its west and Mount Kinabalu, which gave the city its name, is located to its east. East Malaysia
East Malaysia (), or the Borneo States, also known as Malaysian Borneo, is the part of Malaysia on and near the island of Borneo, the world's third-largest island. Wisma Merdeka
Wisma Merdeka is a shopping centre located in the city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. It is one of the earliest shopping malls in the city, together with Centre Point Sabah and Karamunsing Complex. Built in 1985, Wisma Merdeka was the first multi-storey shopping mall in the city with offices and parking bays. The design of the mall was inspired by Lucky Plaza in Singapore and Sungei Wang Plaza in Kuala Lumpur where shopping was being integrated into a major part of the urban lifestyle. There were a wide variety of shops operating on standard operating hours, and the air-conditioning systems provided comfort to customers in the hot tropical weather. The parking lots provided large amounts of parking space for vehicles, which was hard to find at the time. The Skybridge City Centre Kota Kinabalu
The Skybridge City Centre Kota Kinabalu or well known as ''The Sabahan KK Skybridge'' is a Skyway and pedestrian zone bridge in Sabah, Malaysia. It is recorded as the first longest Skyway of Sabah in 2024. Located near Centre Point Sabah, one of the shopping centres in Kota Kinabalu city, the KK Skybridge was officiated by the 16th Sabah Chief Minister Hajiji Noor, which is equipped with escalators, an elevator for the disabled and 20 air-conditioned retail kiosks. The Kota Kinabalu City Hall (, abbreviated DBKK) is the city council which administers the city and district of Kota Kinabalu in the state of Sabah, Malaysia. The council consists of the mayor plus twenty-four councillors appointed to serve a one-year term by the Sabah State Government. Joseph Pairin Kitingan
Joseph Pairin Kitingan (born 17 August 1940) is a Malaysian politician who served as the 7th Chief Minister of Sabah from April 1985 to March 1994 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Keningau from August 1986 to May 2018. He is founding President of the United Sabah Party (PBS) and brother of Jeffrey Kitingan, the Deputy Chief Minister I and State Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of Sabah and President of Homeland Solidarity Party (STAR) as well as uncle of Maximus Ongkili, the former Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Sabah and Sarawak affairs and former President of PBS.
