''The Bassmachine'' is the debut studio album by Swedish musician Basshunter. It was released on 25 August 2004 by Alex Music. In 2005 a remastered version of this album was released, with better sound quality and volume. In 2006 album was released on Basshunter webpage as ''The Bass Machine''. All tracks listed on the album were re-released on '' The Early Bedroom Sessions'' in 2012. Background and release The release date was originally scheduled for July 2004. Before the release on 25 August by Alex Music album was available to pre-order. Sample of album from Alex Music contained unreleased track. Basshunter wrote and produced all tracks. On 21 September the promo single "Syndrome de Abstenencia" was released by Alex Music and the only single from album, "The Big Show" was self-released by Basshunter on 27 October. Jonas Erik Altberg (; born 22 December 1984), known professionally as Basshunter, is a Swedish singer, record producer, songwriter and DJ. As indicated by his stage name, Basshunter is known for bass-heavy Eurodance music. Born and raised in Halmstad he moved to Malmö in 2006. As a young teen, Basshunter sang in a choir his mother ran. He started producing music at the age of 17, and later he started performing in local venues in his early career. In 2006, he self-released " Boten Anna" for free download a few months before he signed with labels Extensive Music and Warner Music Sweden and began commercial releases. His 2007 song " Now You're Gone" featuring Bazzheadz is based on Bazzheadz's "Now You're Gone" which uses the melody of "Boten Anna" with entirely different lyrics. ''LOL'' (stylized ''LOL ''; LOL is short for " laughing out loud", and is an emoticon for "satisfied") is the second studio album by the Swedish musician Basshunter, and was released on 28 August 2006 by Warner Music Sweden. An international edition was released on 22 December 2006, with a red version of the cover artwork. The international version includes the original album's Swedish songs (with the exception of "Sverige") with their titles translated into English, a slightly-different track order and additional tracks, including "Jingle Bells". Background On 21 November 2005, Basshunter announced that he was working on a new album and had completed ten songs.
