Såningskvinnan (), popularly known as Johanna i Brunnsparken (), is a statue of a standing woman in Gothenburg, Sweden, sculpted by Per Hasselberg in 1883. The original gypsum version of the statue remains at the Medicinal history museum of Gothenburg. Pontus Fürstenberg
Pontus Fürstenberg (4 October 1827 – 10 April 1902) was a Swedish art collector and merchant from a Jewish family. He was married to Göthilda Magnus. Background Pontus Fürstenberg was born at Östra Hamngatan 26, in Gothenburg, Sweden. His family had arrived in Sweden at the beginning of the 19th century. Pontus was the oldest child, and his parents were wholesalers Levy Fürstenberg and Rosa Warburg. Levy also owned the textile company Levy Fürstenberg & Co, which provided the family a good economic base. Pontus did poorly in school. His grades were mediocre, but he did well enough to be able to attend the Handelsintitutet (Institute of Trade). At the age of 26, he became part-owner in his father's textile company. A short way from the company lived the wealthy Magnus family. Prince Eugene's Waldemarsudde () is a museum located on Djurgården in Stockholm, Sweden. It was formerly the home of Prince Eugen (1865-1947), a Swedish prince, painter and art collector. The museum houses Prince Eugen's extensive art collection, which includes approximately 7,000 works, primarily Swedish paintings but also sculptures, drawings, graphics, and medals. After Prince Eugen's death in 1947, the estate was bequeathed to the Swedish state and opened to the public as a museum in 1948. The museum complex consists of a main building called the Mansion, completed in 1905, and a Gallery Building added in 1913, both designed by architect Ferdinand Boberg. The estate also includes an original manor house from the 1780s known as the Old House and a historic linseed oil mill. Stora Teatern (popularly known as Storan) is a musical theater in the Lorensberg district of Gothenburg, Sweden. Inaugurated in 1859, it is situated in Kungsparken park south of Kungsportsplatsen. It was originally founded to replace the ''Segerlindska teatern'', and as such was known as ''Nya Theatern'' ('New Theatre') until 1880. The thirty-meter-high theater was inaugurated on September 15, 1859. During the first 60 years, this was mainly a dramatic theater featuring opera and operetta. In 1916, Stora Teatern became primarily a lyrical theater. On 17 March 2003, a lease agreement was signed between KIGAB (a company in the Higab group) and the Swedish Artists' and Musicians' Association, which gradually extended until 2023, with the possibility of extension. Göta Artillery Regiment
The Göta Artillery Regiment (), designation A 2, was a Swedish Army artillery regiment that traced its origins back to the 17th century. It was disbanded in 1962. The regiment's soldiers were originally recruited from Götaland, and it was also garrisoned there. History The regiment has its origins in the Artillery Regiment, raised in 1636. That regiment was split into four new regiments in 1794 of which Göta Artillery Regiment was one. The regiment was given the designation A 2 (2nd Artillery Regiment) in 1830. In 1893 four companies were split off to form Norrland Artillery Regiment and Karlsborg Artillery Corps. The regiment also changed name to 1st Göta Artillery Regiment (''Första Göta artilleriregemente'') in 1893, and another two companies were split off to form Småland Artillery Regiment in 1895.
