São Luiz Gonzaga
São Luiz Gonzaga ( Portuguese for St. Aloysius Gonzaga) is a municipality of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Its population is 33,293 (2020 est.) in an area of 1295,68 km2. It was founded in the 17th century as a Jesuit mission town. It is located 503 km west of the state capital of Porto Alegre, northeast of Alegrete. Geography Climate São Luiz Gonzaga has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen: ''Cfa'') with hot summers, mild winters, and ample rainfall throughout the year. A humid subtropical climate is a subtropical -temperate climate type, characterized by long and hot summers, and cool to mild winters. São Nicolau (Portuguese language, Portuguese meaning Saint Nicholas) is a municipality of the States of Brazil, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It was founded in 1626 by Society of Jesus, Jesuit priest Roque González y de Santa Cruz. The population is 5,208 (2020 est.) in an area of 485.32 km². It is located 562 km west of the state capital of Porto Alegre, northeast of Alegrete. The Uruguay River, which forms the border with Argentina, flows along the northwestern part of the municipality. Bossoroca is a municipality of the western part of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The population is 6,205 (2020 est.) in an area of 1610.57 km2. São Miguel das Missões is a municipality in Rio Grande do Sul state, southern Brazil. Important 17th century Spanish Jesuit mission ruins are located in the municipality. San Miguel Mission is within Santo Ângelo Microregion, and the Riograndense Northwest Mesoregion. The city covers and had a population of 7,683 residents. The Köppen climate classification divides Earth climates into five main climate groups, with each group being divided based on patterns of seasonal precipitation and temperature.
